Discovering the Magic of Bachata

My bachata story began in the spring of 2018 in Amsterdam. I was learning both salsa and bachata at the time, but bachata grabbed me in a way I didn’t expect. The rhythm, the musicality, the connection it created on the dance floor it all felt natural. Within months, I was fully immersed in bachata classes, workshops, and the music itself.

Building a Community

As I danced more, I connected with an incredible community. In 2018, some friends and I attended our first bachata festival in Belgium, and that weekend changed everything. The atmosphere, the shows, the workshops, the late-night socials it pulled me deeper into the world of bachata.
From there, I traveled across the Netherlands and Europe, learning from top instructors and feeding my growing passion for the dance.

A Pause, a Reset, and a New Perspective

When COVID-19 hit, everything stopped. But when the world opened up again in 2021, I returned to dancing with even more excitement. I travelled, trained, and expanded my network across the global bachata scene.

At some point, though, I realized bachata had taken over almost every part of my life. My personal and professional balance was slipping. So I stepped back two months away from dancing and social media. That break changed everything. It gave me clarity, perspective, and a renewed appreciation for what dance truly meant to me.

The Birth of 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 Bachata

After years of festivals, parties, and learning from so many inspiring artists, I felt a strong pull to give something back. I wanted to bring my experiences together with a personal touch rooted in my Indian background. That idea became 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 Bachata, conceptualized in December 2022.

The vision was simple: create a bachata event that feels fresh, warm, inclusive, and memorable. A space where dancers could enjoy quality workshops, good music, and genuine community vibes.

In March 2023, 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 Bachata hosted its first event and the response was incredible. The energy, the support, and the love from dancers helped it grow quickly into one of the most appreciated bachata experiences in the Netherlands.

Today, 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 isn’t just an event. It’s a spirit. A community. A celebration of culture, connection, and dance.

What 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 Really Means

In Indian slang, 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 has many meanings: carefree, fearless, cool, independent, relaxed, confident.
Paired with bachata, it becomes an attitude fun, expressive, welcoming, and full of life.
That’s the essence we bring to every event.

🎶 My Journey with Music, Dance, and Now DJing 🎶

Music has always been an integral part of my life, whether it’s modern beats, urban vibes, classical melodies, or creative remixes. From my childhood, I was mesmerised by the rhythm and soul of music. I remember immersing myself in countless Indian tunes, even amidst the glamour of Hollywood. 🌟🎵

Fast forward to 2018, when I took my first steps into the world of bachata dancing 💃. As a social dancer, I quickly fell in love with the dance’s grace, rhythm, and emotional connection. Over time, this passion extended to the world of bachata music as well. I spent hours upon hours listening to songs, which not only deepened my love for the genre but also sharpened my musicality in dance. 🎶❤️

For the past three years, I’ve been diving into bachata tracks by a variety of talented artists, exploring their creativity and styles. Each year, I challenge myself to do something new and exciting! 🌟

✨ In 2023
I started BINDAAS, a concept focused on bringing together talented artists to create a cozy, vibrant, and amazing bachata community. It was a dream come true to see it grow into something so successful. 🥳💃

✨ In 2024
I took a unique step forward and launched the concept of THE first social dancing bachata festival in Amsterdam. 🇳🇱💃 A special concept with no workshops, no shows, just pure social dancing! The event was a massive hit. 🌟🎉

✨ 2025
I’m embarking on an exciting new chapter: DJing! 🎧 I’ve started learning about the equipment and techniques needed to create unforgettable sets. My plan is to begin small, experimenting with short DJ sessions during BINDAAS parties. If it feels right and I enjoy the process, I would love to bring my sets to other parties that inspires dancers 🎛️

This new journey feels both thrilling and challenging, but I’m excited to give it my best shot. 🚀 Thank you all for following along on this incredible ride and supporting me every step of the way. Here’s to another year of music, dance, and passion! 💖

🎧 My DJ debut at 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 Eindhoven was truly unforgettable! 🎶💃 From setting up the Bachata Day to experiencing amazing workshops, mesmerising shows, amazing social dancing evening, great bachata music and our signature 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 vibes, every moment was incredible! ❤️🔥

I’m beyond grateful for the Bachata community for always showing up and filling our events with energy and love! 🙌💃 Seeing people dance, connect, and enjoy my set made me realize how much I LOVEd playing music! 🎵😍

Super excited for more DJ sets at 𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑨𝑨𝑺 events , and thrilled to already be receiving bookings for amazing events! 🚀🎶
